I was tired this morning after returning home from Tokyo late yesterday, but this view and a cup of coffee was just the thing to wash away that post-flying, all-nighter “funk.” The mist is Tule fog out in the Sacramento Valley.

I love this picture. Such lovely greenery and the warmth of the sky. My farm here in Western Pennsylvania is so shrouded by winter and crisp blue sky that there’s no color available but a mud driveway, bare trees, and still two feet of snow to be melted to even be able to see grass.
Hi Catherine! That sounds so pretty in a stark, wintery way. I wish we could post pics in the comments here because I’d like to see your view. All our green will be fading as the season progresses; with this awful drought there probably won’t be much if anymore rain.

Oh, everyone here always says its a “dry heat” but so is your oven. Hot is hot and July-mid Sept is too hot here. But I love it the rest of the year. Will go see your pics on my days off. 🙂
